Moving On......

Great Fricking News

We are moving....finally. We will be back in society and on high speed internet hopefully by the end of the year.

We will be searching for a house at our new location in early November, so that'll be tons of fun.

I'll miss some of the guys I work with, but I'm sure I'll see them again, possibly even work with them again.

Anyhoo, that's part of the reason for the sporatic posts lately, and it may not get much better. When I'm in and settled, I will have ALOT more time regularly, as my hours are changing too. In a good way.

I'll try to keep posting away, so be sure to check back.

Just to let you know, I'll be around, lurking still.

Not Getting It

HOoooo Weeee!

Been a LONG time since I posted. Seems like everyone is taking a hiatus of sorts, and the inspiration factor has been low. Autumn is the best time of year where I live, and I've been enjoying the weather lately. It won't be long before old man winter has us in his icy grip.

While I was browsing through the archives at Quixtar Blog, I noticed a bit of a tendancy that the pro Quix people have. I'm not sure if this is taught in the AMO's or what.

Here it is. Once the IBO seems to be stifled on every argument, (you know, prices, shipping, expensive etc...)they try to bow out with a bit of grace by saying one of two things:

1. The Critic doesn't get it

2. They say that they know what they have their hands on, and suggest the critic doesn't

I don't know. Maybe I don't get it. I don't know what it is I don't get, but maybe I don't. As far as knowing what you have your hands on, well, maybe I don't.

But maybe I do, and that's why I'm not involved anymore. Something tells me that if I did want to get involved again, no IBO would have a problem setting aside my ignorance in order to sponsor me.

I think I do get it. I also think I know what you have your hands on, and I'm glad you think it's great, but that doesn't change anything if it's not that great.

I think a better way to bow out would be to say something like,

"Well, it's not for everyone, and I'm glad you have something to make money at that makes you happy. If you ever reconsider, I'll be happy to help you out".

That's alot more professional than insinuating that someone is stupid because they don't want to join you in your business. All that does is exacerbate the negative connotations associated with your business.

Someone who works in a clothing store doesn't tell you that you don't get it if you decide not to buy a shirt there, or tell you that you don't know what you've got your hands on.

Don't call uninterested people stupid. It's not nice.
